Contents: A lady mystery author, a missing playboy, an Old Italian Family, a couple of bodyguards, murder, mayhem, and love!	Deadly Gamble	It's a race to the courtroom - or the grave! Mystery author Shenda Brown was only in the alley to check a fact for her novel; she certainly didn't plan to witness the murder, or get shot. Trenton and Stanly Stone need to dispose of the body, the evidence, and the witness before papa and the Family find out what they've done. Even with the help of her self-appointed hunk of a bodyguard, can Shenda survive long enough to testify?
The Scene of the Crime	Deadly Gamble was Anne's 2006 NaNoWriMo winning novel, written in a mere 27 days. Required research included hospital privacy policies, trips across Phoenix to find just the right alley, interviews of Native Americans, and careful study of international time zones. The cover art for Deadly Gamble was drawn on the street in front of her home. Marie's daughter was pressed into service as the "dead body" the chalk outline was traced around. Much to our amazement, people laying in the street elicit a lot of attention from passers-by. For more details, see our blog post.
