 Tanella's Flight |
Preparing for her wedding to a man she's never met, Princess Tanella is kidnapped.
Escaping the cottage wasn't difficult, but finding her way home alone and on foot is the greatest challenge she's ever met. She must return in time for her wedding, or there will be war. The only things standing in her way are the Black Army, the traitors at court, three hundred miles, and the Great Krakitts Mountains.
The fate of the Ten Kingdoms is at stake!

 Castle in Jurisse |
Tanella's Flight was thirteen years in the making. It began as a short story, then was stretched into a longer short story which took second runner-up in the third annual short story contest sponsored by the Audiobook Club.
One slight political twist later, a hero became a villain, a runaway princess became kidnapped, and the length exploded into a full novel...but the characters aren't through with us yet. One of them insists his entire tale be shared.
The sequal, The Siege of Kwennjurat will be coming soon...probably in late 2012.

The cover art for Tanella's Flight was painted in acrylic by Anne from a photograph taken of Marie's daughter wearing her renaissance cloak. Marie's daughter does not have red hair, that was all invented in Anne's imagination.

The action never stops. From the first chapter when she leaves to go shopping for her wedding, you have to keep reading to see what happens to her next. There were places I was holding my breath, and others where I was yelling at the book, telling the characters to be careful of the things I knew were laying in wait, and they couldn't see. I highly recommend this book for all readers from early teen to adult.

Currrrrse youuuuu, A M JENNER! *shakes fist* Curse youuuuuu! I just downloaded both those books and decided to take a quick look at the first one [Tanella's Flight]. SIX chapters later, I realized I was supposed to be writing. Grrrrr! Very nice writing and story structure, the characters are compelling, story moves along quickly...(sigh) It's going to be hard to leave alone.
